A Career Built on Truth

My name is Radames Rodriguez Jr. I was born and raised in Chicago, and I have lived here my entire life. This city is not a backdrop for my work — it is home. I know its neighborhoods, its streets, its people, and how it operates from the inside. Before founding my own agency, I spent years working the streets as a sworn police officer, conducting private investigations across the Chicago area, and serving in a supervisory role with one of the city's primary regulatory agencies.

Before my career in law enforcement, I served in the Illinois Army National Guard — an experience that instilled the discipline, situational awareness, and mission-focused mindset I carry into every investigation. I also served as a Correctional Officer with the Cook County Sheriff's Department, where I developed a firsthand understanding of the criminal justice system from the inside out.

I didn't become a PI because it seemed interesting. I became one because I already knew how investigations work from the inside — how evidence is gathered, how cases are built, and what it takes to get results that actually hold up. That experience is what I bring to every client.

From 2015 to 2020, I worked as a Private Investigator with National Special Investigations Unit (NSIU) in Schaumburg, IL — handling insurance fraud, custody disputes, and infidelity cases. My time at NSIU was formative in ways I carry with me to this day. They gave me the opportunity to travel nationwide, work a wide range of complex cases, and sharpen the investigative skills that define my practice. I am forever grateful for everything NSIU taught me and for the trust they placed in me.

In 2020, I founded Digital Digging Investigations, where I served as Director and led a team of investigators on cases ranging from digital asset fraud to background checks and surveillance. I have been a personal cryptocurrency user since 2017 and have completed multiple professional courses in cryptocurrency forensic investigation and blockchain tracing — giving me a practical, hands-on understanding of how digital asset fraud is committed and how it is uncovered. Running that agency taught me a great deal about building and leading a team — but it also reminded me of something fundamental: I am a street investigator at heart. I missed being out in the field, working cases hands-on, and maintaining a direct relationship with every client I serve. That is why I rebranded and went solo as P.I. Radames. No layers, no handoffs — just me, doing the work I love.

From 2024 through early 2026, I served as a Supervisor with the City of Chicago's Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP) — overseeing investigators, directing enforcement operations against businesses violating city ordinances, and coordinating with city attorneys to ensure cases held up through the administrative hearing process. That institutional knowledge of how government investigations are built and how documentation must be airtight carries directly into the work I do for private clients.

Every case I take is handled personally by me. You will never be handed off to a subcontractor or a junior investigator. When you call, you speak with me. When your case is being worked, I am the one working it — from the first conversation to the final report.

I am also bilingual in Spanish, which allows me to serve a broader community of clients across Chicago and the surrounding area with the same level of care and professionalism. And having had the privilege of traveling extensively throughout my career, I bring a national perspective to every case — no matter where the work takes me.
